I do want to state for people applying for jobs, location matters a lot too. Sure in the United States, there are 1000s of jobs listed (over 19000 in the case of this video). That may not be the case globally. For example, in the UK you'll find less than 1000 jobs available in total right now for cybersecurity. more than 1/3 of the jobs are in London - which can be expensive to live and cybersecurity pay is no where near US standards - and if you're up in Scotland, there's currently 60 jobs on Indeed for Cybersecurity. A lot of these jobs are either Hybrid or onsite. Being able to relocate is really important. On top of this, many listing are "reposts", and others are "bootcamps" or "training" courses that don't actually get you a security job, just a job in IT where you have to find your way to security on your own. So in my opinion, it really depends on your circumstances. If you're unable to relocate, you should tailor your resume and you should apply to as many jobs as possible. Though you may not hit 1000s of application like others would, just apply to whatever you can. The smaller the amount due to restrictions, the more effort you should put in your resume.

How long is a regular work day of purely working in cyber security? How many hours, and days a week do you work?

I'm already far in Sec+ study and planning on passing the exam soon, will I be able to link both certs even if I do Google's cert after Sec+?

I find studying for certs boring af. Just do CTFs on CTFtime or even HTB for network pentesting stuff. All these certs do is just introduce you to basic concepts, just a broad coverage of different exploitation strategies, how to use this tool, how to use that tool, no depth at all. What are they trying to teach you to become a script kiddie? Anyone can run a Metasploit script, enumeration scripts, etc. Just my 2 cents since this list is offensive focused, if you are more interested in network/infra based attacks, do HTB machines. If you are more interested in vulnerability research and writing your own exploits for them, go on CTFtime. Pretty much the entire industry is split between those who can and those who cannot code, and you will have to write your own custom tools to progress further as a red teamer.
